Laguna Nivaria Hotel & Spa - San Cristobal de La Laguna

Although the hotel had ethernet computer connections, these do not work with laptops or iphones. The lack of wifi seemed strange in a hotel with a business clientele and in a university town. The quality of the orange juice and coffee was surprisingly poor. Neither the juice nor coffee was fresh.

People are nice

Not really a 4 star hotel and not for business. Bathroom poorly equipped. I asked for lotion at the reception: they didn't have. There is a big space in front of the hotel (where one might think one can park) where there are people who ask for money in an aggressive way.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was perfect, great choice of locally made dishes. Location is very good and directly connected to the old center.

The room had a kitchen, but they did not mention in advance that you have to pay 5,- per day for use of pans, cups, plates, etcetera. They should mention that too on Booked.net. And the water was sticky/greasy. I did drink it though, but it felt on your hands like oil.

Pleasant location in La Laguna, very short work to the shopping areas and public transport. Reasonable quality Breakfast.

Booked a room with cooking facilities, they were very poor and wish I had not paid the extra. One one the noisiest hotels I have every stayed in. Extra payments required to use Hotel parking.

Close location to the University of La Laguna (where the IELTS exam was hold), quite clean and nice, no noise, no smoking, comfy rooms/ beds, all in a good condition.

poor breakfast choice though nice staff and amazingly tasted coffee; the jacuzzi tub seemed to be broken (some parts where falling out of it..) and there were no dishes/ cutleries/ nothing AT ALL except for a small electric stove in the room's kitchen.

Enjoyed our stay, pleasant memories. Perfect location in La Laguna! Close to highway, close to city centre. Breakfast okay, hotel looks pleasant.

Badroom! Low water pressure, water feels fatty and small badroom. Chairs need to be replaced in restaurant and cafe. Kitchen is useless. Tried to cook for 2 days with cooking set, but there was not even a knife in the set. Don't see it as an apartment, just a hotel room!

Good central position.

The kitchen was not well equipped - no kettle, toaster,coffee machine,microwave.No corkscrew. Only basic amount of pans, cutlery and crockery.Poor value for 5euros a day. There was only one comfortable chair in a room for 2 people. The water in the shower was very variable during a shower.

No breakfast if you have an early departure

Great central location with a free car park nearby( although there seemed to be a protection racket there guarding people's cars). Nicely furnished and spacious rooms (we were in the cheaper annexe building). Breakfast was lovely except for the drinks (not very good coffee and sherbet-like juice).Friendly and efficient service generally.

Lack of good coffee and good fruit juice at breakfast. Room thermostat didn't seem to change room temperature, it was a little chilly in December. No Wifi, but they gave us a cable to use from the socket in the room. However we could not use this with our Ipad, so had to use the (free) computer in the lounge instead.

Room 424 was large and equipped with a kitchenette, not needed.

Attention of personnel to details in room 424, here in particular the bathroom, was not in order: none of the 3 water tabs (bath, bidet, washbasin) was in order, either the flow of water was slow, or fine tuning of hot / cold water was shocking. The hairdryrer did not function, because the switch was broken.These are matters needing more stringent control of room management. Also, missing was sort of a bench to put on a suitcase for unpacking rather than unpacking on the floor. There was enough space available. Room was next to an elevator in an annex bulilding.

We lived in a suite Santa Catalina - it consisted from two rooms : sitting - room and bedroom. On my opinion the best place in this suite was bath-room in a country style with a window and jacuzzi, but we didn't use it. It is the calm,cosy plase with its special atmosphere.

The room was cold. It's just one imperfection.

Very nice old building, next to the historical center of La Laguna. The common parts of the hotel, the rooms and the breakfast were in accordance with what can be expected in a 4* hotel. The level of english at the reception desk is ok.

The level of the second language of the crew in the bar and restaurant is poor, but they are helful anyway.

They advertise having AC but do not. The rooms are very comfortable. The water on the island comes from de-saltization plants. They only have DSL Internet not wi fi. I would stay again but only after sept 1st as this property will not Have AC until after nov.

Lied about AC, NO WI-fi, breakfast was not great as there were ants on the table and the bread and cheeses were from previous days.

Comfortable spacious suite, stylish room decoration.

There was nothing in the kitchen - no dishes, no equipment... May be, this is because I stayed only 1 night, and did not need this.
